Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of RootedHub, operated by RootedHub LLC ("we," "us"). By using the site, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 to create an account. You're responsible for everything done under your account, and for keeping your login credentials secure.

2. Listings & subscriptions

• You must own or be authorized to list any business, event, or class you publish. A provider may hold more than one listing; additional listings may qualify for a multi-listing discount.
• Listings must be accurate, lawful, and not misleading, including any "virtual" or "nationwide" designation.
• We may review, edit, suspend, or remove listings that violate these Terms or our community standards.
• All listing tiers are paid; there is no free tier. Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually and renew automatically until cancelled. Nationwide listings are priced higher than local or statewide listings.
• Upgrades take effect immediately and you pay the difference for the remainder of the current billing period. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the start of the next billing period. We do not issue prorated refunds or credits.
• Founding members: introductory pricing applies for the first six months, after which the founding discount applies to the selected tier for as long as the subscription stays active. Founding spots are limited per state and offered while available.
• We may, at our discretion, waive listing fees ("complimentary listings") for selected providers. Complimentary status can be ended with notice.

3. Add-on services

• Sponsored spots are monthly subscriptions that give a listing added placement for a chosen category within a selected radius or nationwide. Sponsored placements are labeled "Sponsored," are limited in number, and do not guarantee any number of views, leads, or bookings. Cancelling ends the placement at the end of the paid period.
• Marketing toolkit materials are provided to eligible paid tiers for promoting your own listing on RootedHub. You are responsible for how you use them and for having permission to email any recipients.
• Appointment requests submitted through a listing are forwarded to the provider. RootedHub does not schedule, confirm, or guarantee appointments; the provider and client arrange them directly.

4. Registrations, packages, tickets & digital resources

• Payments are processed by Stripe. By paying, you also agree to Stripe's terms.
• RootedHub adds a 5% service fee on top of the price of classes, events, tickets, wellness packages, and paid resources at checkout (paid by the buyer). Sellers receive their listed price minus Stripe's processing fees.
• Organizers are responsible for delivering the event, class, ticket tier, package sessions, or resource as described and for complying with local laws. Wellness packages are sold and honored by the provider, including any expiration they set.
• Sellers of downloadable resources confirm they own or have rights to distribute the material. Buyers receive a personal, non-transferable license to use it.

5. Gift cards

• Gift cards can be purchased in set or custom amounts and are redeemable toward classes, events, tickets, and packages on RootedHub.
• Unused value stays on the same code for future purchases. Gift cards do not expire, are not redeemable for cash except where required by law, and cannot be used to pay listing subscriptions.
• Treat your code like cash; we are not responsible for lost or stolen codes used by someone else.

6. Payouts, referrals & ambassadors

• Payouts to providers and ambassadors are made only through Stripe Connect. You must complete Stripe's identity and tax verification to receive funds.
• Ambassador commissions, milestone bonuses, first-class bonuses, and referral credits are earned under the rates and rules shown in the Ambassador program at the time of the qualifying payment. Commissions continue for as long as the referred account remains a paying customer.
• Ambassadors have no exclusive territory and may refer anyone in the U.S. Ambassadors may also be providers, but self-referrals do not earn commissions.
• Refunded, charged-back, fraudulent, or self-referred payments do not earn commissions, and amounts already paid on them may be reversed. We may change program terms going forward with notice.
• Ambassadors and providers are independent, not employees or agents of RootedHub.

7. Taxes

• Listing subscriptions: Applicable sales tax, VAT, or GST is calculated and, where required, collected at checkout based on your billing location. Tax amounts are shown before you confirm payment.
• Event & class registrations: Where required by law, applicable taxes are calculated and shown at checkout. Registrants are responsible for any taxes not collected at checkout that may apply in their jurisdiction.
• Organizer income: Practitioners, vendors, and organizers are solely responsible for reporting and paying income tax, self-employment tax, and any other taxes on payments they receive through the platform. RootedHub does not withhold income tax on payouts. Stripe collects the required tax information during payout setup and provides applicable year-end tax forms when reporting thresholds are met.
• Your tax situation: Nothing on the platform is tax advice. Consult a qualified tax professional for your specific situation.

8. Reviews & conduct

You agree not to:

• Post unlawful, deceptive, harassing, or harmful content.
• Scrape or copy the directory for competing services.
• Interfere with the site's operation or security.
• Impersonate any person or business.
• Post fake, paid, or conflicted reviews, or review your own business.

Reviews are moderated and may be declined or removed if they break these rules.

9. Wellness disclaimer & licensing

RootedHub is a directory. We do not provide medical, mental-health, therapeutic, legal, or financial services, and we do not endorse or certify the practitioners, vendors, classes, or organizers listed. Listings and reviews are provided by third parties and may contain inaccuracies.

Verify local licensing before you book. Licensing, certification, scope of practice, and permitted claims for wellness professionals (including but not limited to massage therapists, acupuncturists, mental-health counselors, nutritionists, herbalists, midwives, and bodyworkers) vary by state, county, and municipality. It is your responsibility to confirm that any practitioner you engage holds the credentials required in your jurisdiction, and it is each practitioner's responsibility to only advertise services they are legally authorized to provide in the areas they serve. A "Verified" badge means only that a practitioner submitted license or certification details that we reviewed at a point in time; it is not a guarantee of current licensure, quality, or fitness for your needs. Listings without the badge may simply not have submitted this information. Always consult a qualified, appropriately licensed professional for medical decisions.

10. Intellectual property

You keep ownership of content you post, but grant RootedHub a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute it on the site to operate the directory.

11. Termination

You may close your account anytime via Contact. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

12. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, RootedHub LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is capped at the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, Florida.
